Report: Italy’s Enel sees great potential of Russian market
MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Italy’s biggest energy company Enel, which operates four hydro energetic plants with a total installed capacity of 9,500 megawatt in different regions of Russia, sees great potential of the market, CEO Francesco Starace said in an interview to Bloomberg on Tuesday.
“We wanted to sell only one plant, but received an offer to buy all of them. We are not sure what to do,” the manager said. “I think it would be a mistake to leave Russia. This country has a great potential.”
Last year Enel negotiated a sell-off of one of its facilities, but later received an offer to acquire all of them.
